The
Eaton Estate extends to some 11,500 acres in Cheshire, England. It encompasses approximately 450 properties with Eaton Hall at its centre, the principal home of the Duke of Westminster and the Grosvenor family. Maintained by a team of 13, the gardens are comprised of many different styles and elements created by designers that include 'Capability' Brown, Nesfield, Lutyens, C. E. Mallows, Detmar Blow and Arabella Lennox-Boyd. The photographs in this gallery were all taken on one of the gardens' four annual open days, in May 2010.
The ornamental Dragon Garden at Eaton Hall gets its name from the statue of a dragon that resides in the centre of its ornamental pool. The garden is planted twice a year with up to 6,000 bedding plants.
